Zenterio’s take-aways from CES 2017
CES is arguably the most important electronics trade show of the year. As every year, Zenterio attended the show in Las Vegas and we have had a very exciting time meeting many partners, customers and people from the industry, and of course evaluating all the latest and greatest technology innovations that were showcased.
At the same time, it was clear that TV is not the dominant theme any more, both in terms of technology but also in terms of use cases and, more generally, in terms of consumer focus and how people want to consume entertainment. This is a clear example of how new technology can create new opportunities to change consumer behaviors. The behaviors, when they stabilize, then shift the priorities and goals of technology providers, in a virtuous circle the outcome of which nobody can really predict. However some key trends were clear and they are significant not only for consumers, but also for TV operators and for all the partners and vendors in the digital TV B2B2C delivery chain, as at the end of the day we all need to address consumers’ needs.
